Two teenage boys have been injured following a single-vehicle crash near Forbes yesterday.
About 5pm (Thursday 17 September 2020), two teenage boys were travelling in a Ford sedan along Darcy Lane, Bedgerabong – about 30km west of Forbes – when the car has left the roadway and hit a tree.
Witnesses assisted the injured teens and emergency services attended.
The 13-year-old was ejected from the car and sustained serious head injuries. He was airlifted to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and remains in a critical condition.
The 16-year-old suffered leg injuries and was taken to Forbes Hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established, and Crash Investigation Unit are conducting inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
