NSW police seek information and dash-cam footage after Booral service station armed robbery

Police are appealing for public assistance and dash-cam footage as inquiries continue into an armed robbery of a Booral service station.

About 5.25am on Friday 15 March 2019, the attendant of a service station on Booral Road was threatened by a man wielding a knife, who demanded cash and cigarettes.

He took cash and cigarettes, before also threatening customers, demanding and taking one’s wallet.

The man got into a customer’s Mazda – which was left running – and drove away on The Buckets Way, heading towards the Pacific Highway.

No one was injured.

Officers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District were notified, who attended the scene and commenced inquiries.

Later that day, about 6.20pm, police located the Mazda in Franklin Street, Karuah.

Police are appealing for assistance, especially from members of the public who may have been travelling on The Buckets Way, between the Pacific Highway and Stroud, between 3am and 6am on Friday 15 March 2019.

Anyone with information or dash-cam footage is urged to contact Port Stephens-Hunter police, or Crime Stoppers.

Detectives are looking to speak with a man described as being of Caucasian appearance with a tanned complexion, aged 25-30, 183cm tall, with a thin build.
