Police are appealing for public assistance as they investigate a sexual assault occurring earlier this year in Sydney’s south.
About 2am on Friday 1 April 2022, two men posing as ride share drivers drove a 27-year-old woman from Bondi Junction to Wolli Creek.
The men took the woman inside a unit in an apartment complex where she was sexual assaulted and later released.
The incident was reported to officers at St George Police Area Command.
Detectives have established Strike Force Wannamurra to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
As inquiries continue, police have released images of two men who maybe able to assist with the investigation.
The first man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 30s, about 160cm tall with a medium build. He has black hair and a black beard and was last seen wearing a blue jumper with a white and red logo on the rear of the collar.
The second man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 30s, about 160cm tall with a medium build. He has black hair worn in a bun and a beard. The man was wearing a white hooded jumper with a “Nike” logo on the back and jeans.
An image of the silver Kia Sportage has also been released.
