The Northern Territory has recorded 11 new cases of COVID-19.

Four cases are linked to the NT outbreak, bringing the total number of cases to 94. These new cases include residents from Timber Creek and Katherine and contact tracing is underway.

The remaining cases are not connected to the NT outbreak and were not in the community while infectious. They include:

· One case in home quarantine in Darwin

· One case who arrived on a flight from London and is in hotel quarantine

· Five cases who all arrived on a repatriation flight from Johannesburg and are in isolation at the Centre for ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Resilience. Genomic sequencing is underway.

2,700 COVID-19 tests were processed across the NT yesterday.

COVID-19 testing sites are open in Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Nhulunbuy and Darwin. Testing is also available at NT Health clinics in remote communities.

It is important all people in the NT continue to check the COVID-19 website to review the list of NT public exposure sites .

To reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading in our communities, it is important for everyone to follow all the health directions.

· Book your COVID-19 vaccine

· Check in using The Territory Check In App every time, everywhere

· If you have symptoms, stay away from others and get tested for COVID-19

· Wash your hands with soap and water and use hand sanitiser regularly

· Do not go to work if you feel sick

· Maintain a physical distance of 1.5 metres where possible.
