Congratulations Kylie Jones who was crowned the AgriFutures NT Rural Women’s Award Winner for 2022.
Currently based at Mount Riddock station as an educator, she took out the Territory-wide award for her work supporting families in regional and remote areas.
Congratulations to finalists Tisha Tejaya, Simone Cameron and Liandra Gaykamangu for their work across the Territory’s regional communities.
The annual awards celebrate the achievements of women from the rural communities and industries and provides a platform to inspire and support women in the sector.
As the 2022 NT Award Winner Kylie receives a $15,000 grant from Westpac. The money will be used to support her project, RAISEducation, which provides educational support specifically for rural kids.
Kylie will also be supported to complete a professional development training course of her choice and will go on to represent the Territory as a finalist at the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Awards in September.
The ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Winner will be awarded an additional $20,000 grant, and an additional $15,000 will be the awarded to the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Runner Up.
Kylie will soon join each 2022 State/Territory Winner in a three-day workshop in July, to focus on further professional development skills and refinement of their projects, before presenting to the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Selection Panel.
