Submissions open for Most Outstanding Travel Journalist Award
Submissions are open for the highly anticipated Most Outstanding Travel Journalist Award. This award recognises journalists who have made significant contributions to the travel industry through content that educates consumers on the value of travel professionals, particularly those associated with an ATAS-accredited travel business or tour operator.
Journalists who wish to enter this category must submit three articles published between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024. The articles should be thought-provoking, relevant to the travel industry and demonstrate a high standard of writing and reporting. We are looking for work that not only promotes travel and the role of travel professionals but also highlights the critical contributions of ATAS-accredited members in supporting both travel and travellers.
The deadline for submissions is 11:59 pm AEST this Sunday, 15 September. Submissions are to be lodged here: https://ntia.awardsplatform.com/entry-form/entrant/start?formSlug=EkEeRRYp&categorySlug=BeolDQAy&tabSlug=GdORvMyy
The winner will be revealed at the NTIA ceremony at ICC Sydney on 26 October 2024.
Quotes attributable to ATIA CEO Dean Long:
“In response to the evolving media landscape, this year’s Most Outstanding Travel Journalist Award will also consider analytical pieces that explore the issues, challenges and opportunities within the travel sector. This evolution reflects the broader scope of work that travel journalists now engage in, from traditional travel stories to more in-depth, issue-based reporting.”
“We encourage all eligible journalists to participate and showcase their work in this distinguished category.”
