Police can now confirm the name of the man who died following an incident at a Mosgiel property on Sunday 9 June.
He was 87-year-old Vincent Roy Pennington of Mosgiel.
Emergency Services attended after smoke was seen coming from the roof of a house on Braemar Street, Mosgiel, around 8:40am.
The death has been referred to the Coroner.
