The current Chief Executive of the Office of the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR), Ms Sue McCarrey has decided to end her term on 30 December, after eight years in the role.
Ms McCarrey has been at the forefront of the rail industry reform to nationalise safety regulation through ONRSR.
A merit-based selection process for appointing a new regulator chief will commence shortly.
Chief Operating Officer Peter Doggett will assume the role of acting Chief Executive in the interim.
