Officers Struck At RBT Site

A man has been arrested after colliding with three officers at a random breath testing site at West Beach last night.

Police were conducting duties at a static breath testing site on Tapleys Hill Road, West Beach about 8.45pm on Thursday 29 August. A motorcycle approached the site and was directed to enter by a police officer, but the rider refused and hit the officer as he rode past.

Two other police officers were also struck by the motorcycle, but police were able to stop the rider as he went past.

Thankfully the officers were not seriously injured.

A 58-year-old man from Seaton was arrested and charged with acts to endanger life, drive unregistered, uninsured and unlicensed, failing to comply with breath analysis and fail to comply with police direction.

He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 10 October.

The motorcycle was seized and impounded for 28 days.
