The Australian Government has appointed Mrs Maria Myers AC as a part-time member of the Old Parliament House Board for a three year term.
Mrs Myers has extensive experience in the arts and legal sectors. She is currently Chair of the Kimberley Foundation and the State Library of Victoria Foundation. She has held positions on a range of corporate, philanthropic, arts and educational boards including The Australian String Quartet, The Nature Conservancy Australia and Loreto College in Ballarat.
In 2016, Ms Myers received a Companion of the Order of Australia for her services to the community through philanthropic leadership for major visual and performing arts, cultural, education, and not-for-profit organisations, and the advancement of understanding about Indigenous rock art.
Mrs Myers’ knowledge and expertise will enable her to make a valuable contribution to the Board.
