One stop shop launched for international students

  • New travel portal for international students launched
  • Important resource to offer information and support for students
  • Part of McGowan Government’s plan to build the sector as Western Australia reconnects with the world
  • A new one-stop shop has been launched to help international students enter Western Australia.

The International Student Travel Portal provides links to relevant government travel and health information, and a direct booking service for students to book flights. If students cannot find a suitable flight, they are able to access assistance through the travel portal from the travel agent.

Information on the McGowan Government’s support programs for international students, including the $8 million Student Quarantine Support Program, will also be provided.

The site contains useful tips on how to book travel, how to download a G2G pass, public health measures, the SafeWA app and contact details for more information or advice.

The portal can be found at

As stated by International Education Minister David Templeman:

“International students are an important part of our community and we want to make them feel welcome.

“By giving them clear and easily accessible information through this new portal, students can familiarise themselves with the government travel and health requirements and even book their flights.

“We want to see thousands of international students return to our magnificent State and will continue to offer as much support as we can to make their experience as seamless as possible.”
