Opportunities for business expansion coming soon

Lorem With lots in the first two stages of the Tamworth Global Gateway Park now all sold or on hold, works have begun to develop the infrastructure needed for Stage 3 lots in the planned business park corridor.

Located directly adjacent to the new Country Road roundabout on the Oxley Highway, the business park will offer smaller blocks for commercial businesses requiring office space or shop frontage.

In comparison, lots sold to date have largely been slated for heavy industrial use due to their proximity to the Intermodal Freight Facility and direct highway access.

The business park will eventually stretch between Marathon Street and the Murroon Creek green zone, providing pleasant views of the environmental corridor and easy access to Westdale.

Earthworks are currently underway to level out ground levels. Once this is complete, drainage, water, sewer, electrical, communications and gas infrastructure will be installed underground with the internal roads then constructed. Lots in Stage 3 are expected to be ready for registration and sale by the end of the year.

Tamworth Region Mayor Russell Webb said that the development of business park lots would create opportunities for local businesses to expand.

“While the lots available in the first two stages of the development have been attracting businesses looking to set up major heavy industrial operations due to their location and scale, the business park will offer smaller lots,” he said.

“Designed to be the commercial hub of the Park, lots in Stage 3 will appeal to businesses of all shapes and sizes looking to expand their footprint.”

A total of 31.3 hectares of the Tamworth Global Gateway Park have been developed to date, with the construction of the first businesses expected by early 2024.

Stage 3 development works at the Tamworth Global Gateway Park have been fully funded by Tamworth Regional Council, representing an investment of $3.5 million.
