Optus has switched on a new tower in Cunderdin North as part of the Australian Governments Mobile Black Spot Program.
The macrocell site will provide enhanced mobile coverage to over 100 local premises, with over 800 square kilometres covered including 52 kilometres of major roads including sections of Matthew and Cunderdin-Wyalkatchem Roads.
Lambo Kanagaratnam, Vice President of Networks said Optus is pleased to provide the local community with greater mobile competition and choice.
Were proud to be offering our customers much-needed access to our 4G service. This tower will provide our customers with greater communication while living in, working in, and driving through the region,” he said.
The Cunderdin North tower will also allow competition and choice for local businesses and residents when it comes time to choose a network provider. It is part of our commitment to giving our customers and the community access to reliable mobile coverage and high-quality internet.
The investment in expanding Optus telecommunications infrastructure and mobile coverage is also supported by the Australian Governments Mobile Black Spot Program.
