Optus has switched on a new tower in Cunderdin North as part of the Australian Governments Mobile Black Spot Program.
The macrocell site will provide enhanced mobile coverage to over 100 local premises, with over 800 square kilometres covered including 52 kilometres of major roads including sections of Matthew and Cunderdin-Wyalkatchem Roads.

The Cunderdin North tower will also allow competition and choice for local businesses and residents when it comes time to choose a network provider. It is part of our commitment to giving our customers and the community access to reliable mobile coverage and high-quality internet.
The investment in expanding Optus telecommunications infrastructure and mobile coverage is also supported by the Australian Governments Mobile Black Spot Program.
ABOUT THE MOBILE BLACK SPOT PROGRAM
The Government has committed $380 million to the Mobile Black Spot Program (the Program) to invest in telecommunications infrastructure to improve mobile coverage and competition across Australia.
The Program is supported by co-contributions from state and local governments, mobile network operators, businesses, and local communities.
