Optus has switched on a new tower in one of Tasmanias largest towns, West Ulverstone, providing customers in the region with access to Optus 4G coverage for the first time.
The new tower, located at The Quadrant, is part of a multi-million dollar investment into the Optus Network across Tasmania, improving network connectivity, reliability and reach for the community as well as tourists who frequent the region.
Peter West, Optus Territory General Manager for Tasmania, said Optus is pleased to be expanding capability for all Tasmanians, especially in this area.
This new tower in West Ulverstone is situated across the river from the tower we upgraded 18 months ago, highlighting the ongoing work Optus is doing along the North West Coast to provide improved coverage.
The new tower will provide the North West community with greater mobile competition, increased network capacity and real choice through the Optus network.
Were proud to bolster connectivity and provide our customers in the region with access to our 4G network.
