Optus has switched on two towers in the Lismore region as part of the NSW Governments $50 million Connecting Country Communities Fund. The mobile towers will provide extended Optus coverage and connectivity for the local community.
The Optus mobile towers are located in Rock Valley and Rosebank. The Rock Valley tower will provide enhanced mobile coverage to 820 premises in the local area, with 63 sq kms covered including 19km of major roads, and the Rosebank tower will cover 880 premises, 65 sq kms including 25km of major roads.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW Paul Toole said the new base stations at Rock Valley and Rosebank were a big win for the community of Lismore who will now have improved mobile coverage, when and where its needed.
