The NSW Government is assisting the response to a cyber security incident involving Outabox and impacting a number of Clubs in NSW and ACT.

The NSW Government is assisting the response to a cyber security incident involving Outabox and impacting a number of Clubs in NSW and ACT. While limited information is known, it is believed that personal information of patrons of the clubs that use this IT provider may have been compromised.

The clubs involved in the cyber security incident are working towards notifying all impacted patrons.

The OAIC has been notified, the Australian Signals Directorate’s Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) has offered technical advice and assistance to Outabox and the Australian Federal Police and NSW Police Force are currently investigating the incident further.
