Police dog Zac has assisted in the arrest of two teenagers at Bellevue Heights overnight.
Just after 1.30am on Wednesday 23 January, patrols were called to Glenwood Drive after reports of two persons acting suspiciously at a house.
On arrival police spotted the pair who ran off along Glenwood Drive.
Patrols set up cordons while Zac and his handler tracked along Glenwood Drive and down an embankment where the two youths were found hiding in bushes a short distance away.
A 17-year-old boy from Chandlers Hill was charged with unlawfully on premises and hinder police while the other 17-year-old boy from Bellevue Heights was charged with unlawfully on premises, hinder police and possess graffiti implement after a spray paint can was located in his backpack.
Both have been bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Youth Court on 6 March.
