The ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Capital Authority (NCA) manages paid parking arrangements on ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Land on behalf of the Australian Government under the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Land (Road Transport) Ordinance 2014.
The NCA invites community feedback on exposure drafts of the Australian Capital Territory ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Land (Road Transport) Ordinance 2025 (the 2025 Ordinance) and Australian Capital Territory ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Land (Road Transport) Rules 2025 (the Rules).
The 2025 Ordinance and Rules will provide a legislative framework for the continued operation of paid parking arrangements on ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Land in Parkes, Barton, Acton and Russell. Maps of these areas are .
The 2025 Ordinance will replace the current ordinance, established in 2014.
The 2025 Ordinance includes minor, technical amendments to the 2014 ordinance to reflect current legislative drafting practices. The Rules will streamline the parking legislative framework.
The remaking of the current legislative framework does not include changes to the operation or cost of paid parking.
