Launched in November 2021, the Grampians Peaks Trail showcases the stunning Grampians (Gariwerd) ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Park through a world-class 160km long-distance hike.
Featuring 11 unique hike-in campgrounds with day hikes, multi-day trips and the full 13-day journey available, hikers can experience Gariwerd’s dramatic rocky peaks and outcrops, ravines, waterfalls, forests, and lakes.
The 11 unique hike-in campgrounds in remote locations are designed with sophisticated amenities while remaining sympathetic to the landscape and sustainability.

Lake Tyers State Park, jointly managed by Gunaikurnai Traditional Owners and Parks Victoria, is highly significant to Gunaikurnai Traditional Owners due to its remarkable Aboriginal cultural heritage.
The Camping and Access Strategy details the approach to protect the park’s cultural and environmental values while improving facilities and opportunities for the Gunaikurnai community and park visitors to enjoy.

Stretching along the Bass Coast from San Remo to Inverloch, Yallock-Bulluk Marine and Coastal Park is a varied landscape of dramatic cliffs, sandy coves, wetlands, and underwater reefs that are home to unique flora and fauna.
The Access and Infrastructure Plan will increase opportunities for people to enjoy the spectacular area through improved access, upgrades, new facilities, and better links between coastal towns.
Jells Park

Landscape Architecture Award for Play Spaces
Awarded to Fitzgerald Frisby Landscape Architecture
One of two new nature-based play areas in Jells Park the all-abilities playscape has been recognised for its focus on social inclusion. The playscape was custom built with minimal traditional play equipment to stimulate the senses and accommodate adventurous children of all ages and abilities.
Located at the Yabbie Hill section of the park, the new play space includes a mountain top lookout with views to the Dandenong Ranges, a giant-sized spider web, arid and rocky pinnacles, dense green forests, a meandering dry creek bed, a giant fallen log and a rock garden.

Maits Rest is a self-guided circuit trail through ancient rainforest within the Great Otway ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Park. Parks Victoria sought a world-class bespoke design solution to replace aging infrastructure and protect the fragile habitat in the region. Upgrades to the trail saw reconstruction of the car park, trail heads, and the 800 metre long loop trail which visitors can now enjoy.
Woowookarung Dementia Friendly Forest and Sensory Trail

Award for Health and Education Landscape
Awarded to Thomson Hay Landscape Architects
Located in Woowookarung Regional Park in Ballarat, the 1.2km Dementia Friendly Forest and Sensory Trail is designed to give people with dementia an accessible opportunity to connect with nature.
Supported by CDC, the world-first walk was co-designed with people living with dementia and their carers, Ballarat community health groups, the Department of Health and Human Services, and Dementia Australia.
The inclusive trail meanders through the native bushland of Woowookarung Regional Park.
Parks Victoria will continue to work with Traditional Owners and specialist partners to deliver world-class land management and provide conservation, social, cultural, and economic benefits to visitors and Victorian communities.
