PARRAMATTA LIGHTS UP THE TOWN HALL
2019 WIS Mother’s Day Classic
The City of Parramatta is making Mother’s Day Mean More this year in support of the Mother’s Day Classic event for WESTERN Sydney.
For the first time, Parramatta Town Hall will be lit up in a wash of PINK in support of the MDC and the thousands of women and families touched by breast cancer each year.
Lights up from Monday 6 May until 13 May, 5pm – 10.30pm
The Lord Mayor of Parramatta, Andrew Wilson will be attending the Western Sydney event in Parramatta Park on Sunday 12 May, starting a race and addressing participants and joining with the MDC Committee, sponsors, supporters and volunteers as we come together for the Women in Super 2019 Mother’s Day Classic.
The Western Sydney event began in 2007, and in 2019 celebrates 13 years in the city of Parramatta.
This year’s Mother’s Day Classic walk/run will be held on Sunday 12 May across Australia in nearly 90 locations, from capital cities, to regional centres and remote towns all around Australia.

THE COURSE
At Parramatta Park, the event site and the finish line are located at the north end of Cattle Paddock and the start line located on adjacent pathway. The course meanders through the historic grounds of Parramatta Park, passing landmarks such as Old Government House, the Rotunda and Parramatta River. There will be a range of entertainment, including rock climbing wall, face painting and circus performers for children and families, food and coffee vendors, live music and dance.
