Local businesses are invited to join Council in celebrating International Women’s Day next year, with expressions of interest now open for sponsorship of the event.
The annual International Women’s Day Gala, returning on Wednesday 8 March, 2023 at Gledswood ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾stead and Winery, promotes gender equality while raising funds for a local cause.
The event will focus on networking and awards and will include the following:
- Keynote speaker;
- Mayoral address;
- Presentation of the Camden Woman of the Year Award; and,
- Ticket proceeds to go to a local charity.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said it was a great opportunity for local businesses to jump on board to support a worthy cause.
“Camden is home to so many women who play a pivotal role in many homes, organisations and families and it is important they are all celebrated accordingly,” Cr Fedeli said.
“International Women’s Day is about celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women while calling for action in accelerating gender parity.
“This year, the theme is ‘Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future’, emphasising the importance of bold and transformative ideas, inclusive technologies, and accessible education in combating discrimination and the marginalisation of women globally.
“I’m proud to be celebrating more than 39,000 women living in the Camden area and their contributions to, not only their loved ones, but to the entire community.
“I encourage local businesses to jump on board to partner with Council in delivering this momentous Gala evening in 2023.”
Four tiers of business sponsorships are available, including:
- Platinum – $10,000;
- Gold – $5,000;
- Silver – $2,500; and
