A man has died after being hit by a van in Sydney’s north-west this morning.
About 12.40am (Thursday 11 May 2023), emergency services were called to the M2 Motorway at Macquarie Park, following reports that a van and pedestrian had collided.
Officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command arrived to find a 26-year-old man with critical injuries.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
The driver of the van – a 36-year-old man – was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
