This winter children across Australia are being invited to embrace the wet weather and jump in muddy puddles as part of a fundraiser for Save the Children.
The fun-filled activity is part of Peppa Pig’s Muddy Puddle Walk, an annual event that supports programs helping some of the most vulnerable children in Australia and overseas.
During the month of August, thousands of people around Australia will take part by , either with friends and family or through their early learning centre. The centre that raises the most money will even win an exclusive appearance from ‘s Peppa Pig herself.
Save the Children Donor Development Manager Nikki Kerridge said joining Peppa Pig’s Muddy Puddle Walk is an enjoyable and easy way to support Save the Children’s life-saving work.
“Peppa Pig’s Muddy Puddle Walk is a fun event that takes place all through the month of August, so it’s easy to arrange your own fundraiser in a local park, your backyard, or even inside,” Ms Kerridge said.
“Participating in a Muddy Puddle walk makes the most of the wintery weather for a good cause – helping children across the world get the chance to have a better life.”
Save the Children works across 200 locations in Australia and more than 125 countries across the world helping children affected by conflict and disaster and delivering long-term development programs.
“By participating in this year’s Muddy Puddle Walk, you’re not just supporting Save the Children, there are also some fantastic goodies up for grabs, including a guest appearance by Peppa Pig herself for the early learning center that raises the most funds for Save the Children,” Ms Kerridge said.
