Perth systems engineer recognised with Defence West Aspire Award

  • $5,000 Defence West Aspire Award winner for 2020 is Jason Coleman, a systems engineer from Nova Systems

  • Defence West Aspire Award supports the growth of WA’s defence industry 
  • Western Australian systems engineer Jason Coleman has been presented with the 2020 Defence West Aspire Award in recognition of his strengths in the field of remote operations.

    Mr Coleman is an accomplished systems engineer in the Perth office of defence and aerospace company, Nova Systems, and is a member of the Australian Remote Operations for Space and Earth steering committee.

    Mr Coleman will receive $5,000 to further his knowledge of the industry by attending the IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Systems in Canada once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted in the future.

    The Aspire Awards are a collaboration with Business Events Perth and aim to raise the profile of individuals and organisations, showcasing the ground breaking research and development being undertaken in our State.

    The awards are crucial to continue supporting academics, researchers, clinicians and businesses in planning travel to spread their research or undergo professional development.
