Almost $200,000 will be shared by 11 not-for-profit community groups across a dozen projects to improve the health of the Swan and Canning rivers.
Grants from Round 6 of the Community Rivercare Program will fund revegetation along the foreshore, weed control and habitat improvement for birds.
Eligible organisations could apply for grants between $3,000 and $30,000 for projects running up to three years.
The Community Rivercare Program has funded 76 projects across 39 volunteer-based community groups since 2018. The McGowan Government committed a further $4 million over four years in 2021.
