PHOTO 2024, the International Festival of Photography, is here at Stonnington’s Princes Gardens, beside the soon to re-open Prahran Skate Park, from 1 to 24 March.
We’re super excited to be a part of PHOTO 2024 and have curated a free, special photo art installation that will add vibrancy, colour and light to the already popular precinct.
A highlight of PHOTO 2024, this exhibition shows a series of images by Karabo Mooki, (born in 1988, Johannesburg, South Africa), and features photos from the project entitled Amandla.
Acting as an exciting teaser, this installation celebrates women in sports, predominantly skateboarding, so the exhibition is a great match for the soon to reopen, new-look skate park, an iconic landmark in Stonnington.
For residents, creatives and culture buffs, this is an invitation to discover great photographic art in a unique location, already known for its array of community arts, leisure and recreation offerings.
The theme for PHOTO 2024 this year is: The future is shaped by those who can see it.
A biennial event, Stonnington is a proud exhibition and program partner of PHOTO 2024 and has supported the festival since its inception in 2020, to bring world-class photography to the community.
Take some time out of your day or night and come along and see PHOTO 2024.
