BassCoast Shire Council is asking for your thoughts on what the future of GraydensReserve could look like.
Graydens Reserve is a much-loved community space in Newhavenand Council is planning for future upgrades of the area.
Late last year Council asked for expressions of interest tomake up a panel of community members who have a connection to the Reserve tohelp co-design the community engagement for Graydens Reserve. This panel of 18community members met in February this year and spoke about the uses of theReserve.
Bass Coast Mayor Cr Clare Le Serve said it is an importantand well used community space.
“During the community panel meeting we heard that it is apopular place for birthday parties, gatherings for families and friends, astop-off on the way home from school and to and from the Island,” Cr Le Servesaid.
“Now we want to hear from the wider community about how theyuse the Reserve and what they’d like to see there in the future.”
Thisplanning will take into account Regional Roads Victoria’s future plans forPhillip Island Road. It also actions the Bass CoastSkate Park Strategy Review 2023 which identifies the design of a local skatepark at the Reserve.
Thereare a range of ways you can share your feedback including a survey and drop-insessions. There are separate surveys for adults and children so we can hearfrom a broad audience who use the Reserve.
