Plus-Size Model Credits OnlyFans with Boosting Body Confidence & Positivity

Audrey Aura
Audrey Aura, a plus-size model on OnlyFans, credits the platform with helping her find self-love and confidence. “I was really struggling with my body image and self-esteem before I started posting on OnlyFans,” Aura says. “But the feedback I’ve received from fans has been overwhelmingly positive, which has helped me to feel more confident in myself.” Aura went on to say that she hopes her story will inspire other people who might be struggling with their own body image to embrace themselves for who they are. Thanks to platforms like OnlyFans, we’re starting to see more people finding love for themselves and their body, regardless of flaws.
Prior to starting an OnlyFans, Aura had battled with depression, anxiety, and eating disorders throughout her teenage years and young adult life. “I was hesitant to start an account at first, as I’ve always been a bigger person, been bullied for my weight, and didn’t see myself as desirable,” Aura says, “but after losing 20kg at the beginning of 2020, I was feeling a little adventurous and felt a slight glimmer of confidence in my body.” Aura continues to say that she was surprised at the amount of love she received, despite her flaws. “There were trolls that tried bullying me and bringing me down because of my weight, of course, but I quickly learnt to ignore them because they were drowned out by the positivity that I received.”
Aura is a top 0.4% creator on one of her OnlyFans accounts, and top 3.2% on her second account. In January 2022, Aura made a total of 38.9k AUD for the month. She categorises herself as a Plus Size creator, currently being a size 16 AUS on average, with 16H breasts. She also sports large amounts of excess skin and stretch marks from a 30kg weight loss journey.
Due to her open conversations on the topic of body confidence, Aura is constantly getting messages from others who wish to start an OnlyFans as well, but don’t feel confident enough. “The main question I get from people in my DM’s is whether I think that persons body would be successful as an online adult content creator, because they’re worried people aren’t interested in seeing stretch marks, fat rolls, mum tums, acne, saggy breasts, and all the other flaws that they see in themselves,” Aura says. “My answer is always yes. There is a market for everyone, and I’m one proof of that, because I have all of those things. I am not a model, and I do not meet societies standards of beauty. If my body is desirable, so is yours.”
Aura was able to fund a lower body-lift surgery in 2021 through her OnlyFans earnings, also known as a 360 tummy tuck for removal of excess skin and is planning for a breast reduction in late 2022. “Positive body image doesn’t need to be anti-dieting or anti-surgery. You can love your body and be proud of it, while still making changes to make you happier and feel more comfortable in your skin.”
