The City of Salisbury’s Polaris Business Development Centre continues to play a leadership role across South Australia in enhancing business capability and growth in the Small and Family Business Sector, with new funding from the Office for Small and Family Business.
The Polaris Business Development Centre will host Retail Fundamentals workshops in the Adelaide Hills, and take Business Fundamentals workshops to Kangaroo Island. The additional locations will provide valuable support to existing and aspiring South Australian business owners, outside the Adelaide Metropolitan region.
This expansion of services is an initiative of the Government of South Australia’s Office for Small and Family Business and the South Australian Small Business Strategy 2023 – 2030.
The Retail Fundamentals workshops will begin from February, delving into 18 recognised ways to amplify retail business success. Retailers will also be able to access one of 20 free business consultations with professionals from the Polaris Business Development Centre, and can take up one of 15 Ignite Your Retail Business Mentoring Programs.
The activation at Kingscote, Kangaroo Island will take place in March, providing two Business Fundamentals workshops and 10 Business Consultations for local participants. The workshops help prepare aspiring and existing business owners to launch and run a successful and sustainable business. Participants are paired with an experienced business mentor to assess their needs and share knowledge on a variety of business and industry matters to get clients on the right track.
