Police appeal after break in at rural property in South Coast

Police are appealing for public assistance following a break and enter at a rural property on the state’s South Coast yesterday.

Between 2am and 2.30am on Monday (22 November 2021), unknown persons have gained entry to a property on Jindy Andy Lane, Numbaa, and used a hacksaw and grinder to break into a shipping container.

A .22 calibre bolt action rifle, a Kubota side-by-side utility and 150L of fuel in drums, as well as several tools and farming equipment worth in excess of $40,000 were stolen.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.

As part of ongoing inquiries, police would like to speak with two women who may be able to assist.

One of the women is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall and has tattoos on both arms.

The second woman is described as being about 180cm tall with dark hair and a tattoo on her hand.

A small silver sedan similar to a Holden Astra with red P-plates was also seen in the area and the driver may be able to assist police.
