Police appeal for information about car fire at Annandale

Police are appealing for information after a car and motorbike were found alight in Sydney’s inner west earlier this year.

Shortly after 4am on Friday 14 June 2024, emergency services were called to Susan Street, Annandale, following reports of a car fire.

Officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command arrived to find a Mazda CX5, Honda Dio 110CC motor bike alight.

A second vehicle – a Honda Jazz – was also damaged by the fire.

The fire was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW.

No injuries were reported.

A crime scene was established and police launched an investigation into the incident.

As investigations continue, police have released an image of a male who might be able to assist with inquiries.

The male is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 40 to 50 years old, slim build with light brown hair and moustache.

He was wearing a black baseball cap, yellow facemask, black sunglasses, black backpack, brown zip-up hoodie, grey trousers and black sneakers.

Inquiries are ongoing.
