Officers from Auburn Police Area Command are appealing for information following an armed robbery yesterday.
About 6.15pm (Thursday 13 August 2020), police were called to a convenience store on Beaconsfield Street, Silverwater, after a man entered the store armed with a pistol.
He approached the counter and pointed the firearm at a 20-year-old male employee while demanding money.
An amount of cash was handed over and the armed man ran from the store heading east along Beaconsfield Street.
A crime scene was established and forensically examined. Detectives are now calling for witnesses, or anyone who may have information that can assist.
