Police appeal for information: Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in Stafford, QLD

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an alleged car and pedestrian crash in Stafford on November 15.

It will be alleged two drivers pulled into a petrol station on Stafford Road around 1.15pm, before exiting their vehicles and getting into a physical altercation.

After a short time, a 17-year-old male got back into a silver Mercedes Benz, which had a red P plate attached to the windscreen, and drove toward the 27-year-old man, hitting him and knocking him to the ground.

The 27-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm, driver fail to remain at incident and render assistance and fail to comply with duties of driver involved in a crash.

He is expected to appear before Brisbane Childrens Court on December 19.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has further information to contact police.

Anyone who saw a silver Mercedes Benz in the area around that time, or has dashcam vision of the vehicle, is also urged to contact police.
