Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Heywood on Friday morning.
Investigators have been told a motorcycle rider lost control of his bike on the Princes Highway about 11am and collided with an oncoming vehicle.
The rider, a 31-year-old man from Queensland, was taken to hospital where he later died.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
