The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal vehicle and motorcycle crash at Burrum River today, February 2.
Just after 11.40am, a Toyota Hiace Van was travelling south on Burrum Heads Road when it has turned right into a caravan park and into the path of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
The rider, a 60-year-old Apple Tree Creek man, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
A 70-year-old Hervey Bay man driving the van and a 70-year-old female passenger were transported to Hervey Bay Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses or anyone with relevant vision is urged to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
