Police are responding to fatal crash in Limerick – Hume

A woman has died after a single-vehicle crash in southern NSW.

About 9.20pm on Thursday (19 October 2023), emergency services were called to intersection of Turkey Hill Road and Peelwood Road, Limerick, approximately 40km north of Crookwell, following reports of a single-vehicle incident.

On arrival, officers attached to The Hume Police District located a white Subaru hatchback, submerged in a creek.

A short time later, Fire and Rescue NSW retrieved the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle – a 87-year-old woman – however, she died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
