A driver was arrested attempting to run from police in the eastern suburbs overnight.
About 12.15am on Thursday 24 November, a patrol spotted the black Subaru sedan travelling at high speed in Walker Avenue, Campbelltown and tried to pull it over. The vehicle failed to stop and wasn’t pursued by the patrol.
PolAir was quickly overhead and tracked the vehicle as it drove erratically before coming to a stop in Reid Avenue, Felixstow.
The driver ran from the car and was chased on foot by police officers, who caught him in Drage Reserve, on the banks of the River Torrens.
The 42-year-old Aldgate man was arrested and charged with aggravated due care, dangerous driving to escape police, speed dangerous and fail to stop.
He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
His vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 28 days.
