Police have arrested four males after an extended follow.
Officers were alerted to an attempted theft of motor car in Essendon about 1.30am on Monday 24 June.
Details of a vehicle seen at the scene were passed on to police and the car was spotted in Albert Street, Preston about 1.45am.
The car sped off on police and the Air Wing was called in.
The Air Wing followed the car to a park of Heritage Drive, where one of the occupants of the car got out and tried to access a nearby vehicle.
Police were quickly on scene and the original car drove off but police were able to chase down the youth who had exited the vehicle and place him under arrest.
The Air wing continued to keep observations on the car which drove up and down the Monash Several times before exiting onto main roads.
Police were able to successfully deploy vehicle immobilising devices on Springvale Road about 2.45am and bring the car to a halt in Brandon Park.
Officers arrested three youths at the scene.
Police currently have a 15-year-old boy from Dandenong North, A 13-year-old boy from Springvale, a 13-year-old boy from Noble Park and a 14-year-old boy from Hampton Park assisting them with their enquires.
