Four people have been arrested after dumping a stolen car at Marion overnight.
About 3.45am on Friday 12 June, a patrol spotted a white Skoda station wagon at a distance speeding on Marion Road, South Plympton.
Other patrols headed to the area to try to catch sight of the vehicle again.
A short time later, just before 4am, a member of the public rang police to report that a car had just been abandoned on The Parade, Marion. Patrols attended and located the white Skoda.
Police made inquiries with the registered owner, who wasn’t aware that their home at Wattle Park had been broken into overnight and their car, car keys, credit cards and mobile phones had been stolen.
A patrol stopped a taxi leaving the area on Bombay Street, Oaklands Park containing four occupants.
It will be alleged they were in possession of stolen property linked to the Wattle Park break-in.
The four young men, aged 15, 18, 19 and 20, were all arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft. It is expected that they will face court later today.
The stolen Skoda wagon was towed from the scene for forensic examination.
