Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after a firearms incident in Hoppers Crossing on Monday morning, 12 September.
It’s alleged a number of people were involved in an altercation on Bellbridge Drive about 11.30am.
One person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A local primary school was placed into lockdown as a precaution for a short time.
Police arrested a 24-year-old Hoppers Crossing man and executed a warrant at his address on Bellbridge Drive, seizing a handgun, a sawn-off rifle, a conducted energy device, imitation firearm and other weapons.
He has been charged him with affray, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, possessing a traffickable quantity of firearms and bail offences and remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later today.
