Major Collision Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man in relation to an alleged hit-run in St Albans on 8 May.
It’s alleged the 78-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Main Road East near the corner of Erica Avenue about 9pm.
The driver did not stop to assist and a passer-by called emergency services but the St Albans man died at the scene.
A 64-year-old Essendon man is currently being interviewed by detectives.
