Homicide Squad detectives have arrested a man following the death of another man in St Kilda last night.
Emergency services were first called to reports of a fire at a property on Chapel Street about 8.40pm.
A man was located with critical injuries inside the property, where he died a short time later.
He is yet-to-be formally identified.
This afternoon, detectives executed a search warrant at a property in St Kilda.
A 30-year-old man was arrested and is expected to be interviewed in relation to the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
