Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a 26-year-old Morwell man over an alleged stabbing which occurred in Carrum Downs on Friday 21 June.
Emergency services were called to Balmain Drive about 2pm after a taxi collected a male passenger from Greens Road, South Dandenong about 1.40pm.
Upon arriving at a residential address on Balmain Drive it’s alleged the male passenger presented a knife and demanded cash from the taxi driver.
A short scuffle ensued and the driver sustained a number of stab wounds to the arm.
The 38-year-old Eumemmerring man was transported to hospital in a stable condition and has since been released.
The Morwell man was arrested in Carrum Downs about 3.49pm today and is currently assisting police with their enquires.
