A Seaton man will face court on several charges after two cars were damaged by an explosion at Glenelg North in the early hours of this morning.
Just after 4.30am on Friday 12 April occupants in Regent Street Glenelg North were woken by a disturbance and then a loud bang caused by an improvised explosive device.
On arrival of police and fire crews they located two vehicles had been damaged in the explosion, fortunately they didn’t catch fire and damage was minimal.
Eastern District Police investigated the incident which wasn’t considered a random attack and a short time later arrested a 39-year-old man from Seaton at his home address.
The arrested man has been charged with use an explosive device, two counts of property damage, breach of intervention order and breach of bail.
He was refused police and was expected to appear to in the Port Adelaide Magistrates today.
