A man and a woman have been arrested after allegedly breaching COVID directions.
On Thursday 30 July a man and woman in a black Toyota sedan with New South Wales registration plates, attempted to enter at the Pinnaroo border check point for the purpose of selling a dog. Both were refused entry and directed to return to New South Wales.
Just after 10am on Saturday 1 August, Western District police stopped the same vehicle on Carroll Avenue at Kilburn and questioned the occupants. The driver and passenger stated they entered South Australia from New South Wales earlier in the week.
Checks revealed they had been refused entry into the state and a 25-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman both from New South Wales were arrested and charged with breaching COVID directions.
The pair have been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday 3 August.
