Two teenagers were arrested after allegedly assaulting an Uber driver and another passenger in two separate incidents at Salisbury Plain overnight.
It will be alleged about 2am on Sunday 5 February, two passengers assaulted a ride share driver after they stopped on Main North Road, Salisbury Plain.
The driver was punched and kicked. The pair stole money from the console and attempted to steal the car keys.
The victim flagged down a passing motorist and the pair left.
The two males then approached another ride share car in a nearby fast-food restaurant car park at Salisbury Plain. They allegedly assaulted the passenger in this car, caused damage to the vehicle and smashed the windscreen.
They ran off but were arrested after a short chase.
An 18-year-old Salisbury Park man and a 15-year-old Elizabeth boy were charged with attempted robbery, two counts of assault and theft. They were refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates and Youth Courts tomorrow, Monday 6 February.
