Police arrest teens over Salisbury servo robbery

Two teenagers were arrested over an aggravated robbery at a Salisbury business this morning.

About 4am Monday 25 December police were called to a service station on Salisbury Highway, Salisbury after reports that two males had entered, one armed with a machete, threatened staff and made off on foot with cash. Thankfully staff were not physically injured.

Following investigations, police attended addresses at Andrews Farm and WIlliamstown this morning.

A 15-year-old Andrews Farm boy and a 14-year-old Williamstown boy were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

A stolen Mazda, allegedly used in the robbery, was also located in Williamstown and was towed from the scene for forensic examination. The Mazda had been reported stolen from a St Georges home on 19 December.

The boys were further charged with illegal use, serious criminal trespass and driving unlicensed.

Both youths were refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Wednesday 27 December.
