Police arrest three teens over metro break-ins

Police have arrested three youths in connection with the recent spate of break-ins across the metropolitan area.

About 12.55am on Wednesday 7 February, police were called to the Brickworks centre on South Road after an alarm activation. Police discovered four businesses had been broken into, with cash registers stolen from all of the break-ins.

Just after 2am on Wednesday 7 February, a witness reported hearing breaking glass at a Greenwith shopping centre before several people were seen leaving a in a small white hatchback.

Attending patrols found break-ins to four businesses within the complex.

As a result of investigations, Western District Police attended a Seaton home yesterday and arrested a 14-year-old boy from Devon Park. He has been charged with four counts of serious criminal trespass relating to four business break-ins at Greenwith. He has also been charged over a break-in at a Findon supermarket and a pizza bar at Torrensville. CO2400005313

A 15-year-old boy from Seaton was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass (coffee shop at Torrensville), breach of bail and an outstanding warrant. CO2400005291

A 14-year-old boy from Seaton was also arrested and charged with two counts of serious criminal trespass (coffee shop and pizza bar at Torrensville) and being unlawfully on premises. CO2400005314

A stolen Hyundai linked to the crime series was also recovered at Seaton yesterday.

The three boys were refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today.
