Police arrest two after southern suburbs pursuit, South Australia

Two people have been arrested after a pursuit in the southern suburbs.

Police will allege that about 11.40 pm on Sunday 15 September, a patrol saw a gold Ford sedan travelling south on States Road, Morphett Vale with number plates that did not match the vehicle.

When police tried to stop the Ford it sped off, and other patrols were called to the area to try and stop the vehicle.

Road spikes were successfully deployed at the corner of States and Main South Road.

The Ford continued west on Sherriffs Road and then southbound on Dyson Road where the car eventually came to a stop.

The three occupants ran away from the car, and two of them were arrested soon after.

The driver, a 34-year-old Flagstaff Hill woman was charged with numerous offences including engaging in a police pursuit, driving unlicenced, unregistered, uninsured and contrary to defect, and having unassigned plates on the car.

A passenger, a 38-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with breach of bail.

Both were refused bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.

Enquiries continue regarding the whereabouts of the other passenger, and anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
