A quick response by patrols has led to the arrest of a man leaving the scene of an allege break-in at Findon early this morning.
At 3.50am, Saturday 20 June, patrols were called to The Circuit after reports of two men breaking into a home. Patrols quickly attended and saw a man running from the front door of the house, he was arrested at the scene. He man was taken to hospital for treatment of an injury he received while breaking into the home.
A second man was at the rear of the home and jumped fences to evade police. Cordons were set up in the area and police dogs Jax and Zeus attended after a lengthy search the second man was located hiding under a car on Pamela Street where he was arrested.
Both men aged 23 and 21 from Findon are expected to be charged later today.
While patrols were in The Circuit they were advised of a second break-in and located a car that had been damaged.
Police ask anyone in the Findon area who wakes this morning and finds their car or home has been broken into or damaged to report it to the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
